Parts Advisors at Lexus of Royal Oak serve a dual
role—assisting retail guests at the front parts counter and supporting
technicians at the back parts counter. This position provides essential support
to both our service guests and technicians and requires strong proficiency in
the PBS parts system.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist both
internal and external customers in determining the parts required for repairs
·
Confirm
required parts with the Shop Foreman before ordering out-of-stock items
·
Provide
parts quotes and in-house service costs to customers over the counter or by
phone using estimates
·
Address
customer inquiries in a timely, courteous, and professional manner to ensure a
high level of service
·
Assist
walk-in customers with selecting necessary parts, suggesting companion parts,
and highlighting current specials
·
Maintain a
working knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures
·
Ensure
customers are informed about available product lines
·
Retrieve
purchased parts from stock efficiently
·
Determine
availability of non-stocked items and arrange for timely ordering
·
Restock
returned or unused inventory items as appropriate
·
Issue
credits for returned parts, ensuring original invoices or reference numbers are
verified before approval by the Parts Manager
·
Collaborate
with other departments to fulfill customer needs
·
Regularly
update parts and accessories displays to maintain a fresh and appealing
presentation
·
Perform
other duties as assigned by management
What You Bring:
·
High school
diploma or GED equivalent
·
Previous
parts department experience
·
Automotive
experience (an asset)
·
Ability to
thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
·
Valid
Alberta Class 5 driver’s licence with a clean driving record
·
Commitment
to maintaining a safe work environment and following all safety protocols
·
Ability to
lift up to 50 pounds
·
Strong
computer skills and comfort with technology
